Mr. Trigg from our interpretation of ‘The Birds’ by Daphne du Maurier.


He’s a side character who ends up being killed by the birds because he treats the whole situation as a joke and doesn’t take any precautions.

I enjoyed designing him, especially as I rarely draw cheerful characters (although he doesn’t remain cheerful, what with being attacked by birds), so it was a pleasure to draw this easy-going, happy man. The first 4 are very initial drawings, attempting to figure out how he look, then the rest are sketches of scenes. I’ve mostly used charcoal as it’s quite malleable and quick to use.
